Privacy & Cookies

This privacy statement was last amended on June 22, 2022.

This privacy and cookie statement relates to the moetiknaardedokter.nl website and the services of Moet Ik Naar De Dokter (MINDD B.V., hereinafter referred to as “MINDD”).

MINDD considers the careful handling of personal data very important. In this privacy statement we describe what personal data of yours we process, how we deal with your personal data and what rights you have in that context.

MINDD is the controller with regard to the data processing. In this privacy statement we explain which personal data we gather and use and for what purpose. We advise you to read this carefully. We observe the requirements of privacy legislation in our processing. This means, among other things, that:

  • we state clearly for what purposes we process personal data. We do so via this privacy statement;
  • we restrict our gathering of personal data to only those personal data required for legitimate purposes;
  • we first ask you for your express consent to the processing of your personal data in cases where your consent is required;
  • we apply appropriate security measures to protect your personal data and also require these of parties that process personal data on our behalf;
  • we respect your rights such as your right of inspection, correction or deletion.

1. Personal data and purposes

When using the app, enter personal data about yourself or about another person for whom you are using the app and you will be given a decision. The personal data received from you via this service and that we process are:

  • Sex
  • Date of birth
  • Result of any triage done (urgency)

The data entered are required initially to be able to answer the question ‘Do I have to go to the doctor?’ Your sex and date of birth are processed by the back end of the app in anonymised form for the analysis of the use of our app. We can then ensure that in the future the app will work even better and we can generate anonymous statistics. Your IP address is processed in anonymised form by the web server into a session number. As a result, your personal data are not traceable.

Your location is stored only on the device on which you are using the app and if you use the link with a map application (such as Google Maps) so as to immediately obtain directions to the out of hours doctors’ surgery. These data are not stored by us but by the provider of the map application. We advise you to read the attached privacy statement carefully.

Callback request It is possible to make a callback request through the App. In doing so, personal data about yourself or another person for whom you use the App is sent securely to the telephone system. These personal details will only be sent and processed if you explicitly give permission for this. With a call-back request, in addition to the above-mentioned standard data, the following personal details are requested and processed:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Address
  • Your GP
  • BSN number
  • Description of your complaint
  • photo of the complaint

Scientific research

MINDD conducts scientific research in collaboration with various GP posts. This means that MINDD, in collaboration with different GP posts, is monitoring the effects, the improvements, the safety and the performance of the App. The data used for this research is: patient ID, timestamp of the start of telephone triage, age in years or date of birth, gender, NTS entry complaint, urgency, triage duration and the call result. A link will be made based on the telephone triage data and the self-triage data. Based on the self-triage advice and the result of the telephone triage, researchers at Radboudumc (department IQ Healtcare) can determine the effect, safety and performance of the App for the HAP.

Postcode Once you have gone through the questions, you may be asked to enter the four digits of your postcode or to the GP posts you are affiliated. “Moet ik naar de dokter?” conducts its post-market surveys and (scientific) research in collaboration with health organisations. This means that “Moet ik naar de dokter?” (in collaboration with health organisations) monitors and improves the app’s security and services. The data used for this are anonymous so this is why you are only asked for the four digits of your postcode. With this, it is possible to determine under which health organisation, for instance an out of hours doctors’ surgery, you fall. Your postcode is only logged if you give explicit consent to this.
